Record your work on a job
How a technician adds parts, photos and payments to a job, files the completion sheet, and moves the job to the next stage.
Open the job from the Jobs tab. Work down the screen in the order below. You do not have to use every section — your company decides which ones appear.
Check in for attendance first. Most companies block every edit on a job until you do. See Mark attendance.
Tick off the checklist
The Checklist section lists what the office wants done. Tap a row to tick it. You can add your own row in the Add checklist item box.
Add the parts you used
Tap Add Part in the Parts used section
A sheet opens with a search box: Search inventory…
Find the part
Parts are grouped under Available to you, Issued to you today and All parts. Some companies only let you pick from parts already issued to you.
Answer the charge question, if it appears
Some companies ask Is this free or chargeable? Pick FOC (Free) when the customer pays nothing, or Chargeable when they pay.
Fill in the quantity and price
Set Quantity, check the MRP, and add a Discount % if the office allows one. The sheet shows the subtotal, the discount and the net amount as you type. It also shows what you earn on this part.
Tap the Add button at the bottom of the sheet
The part appears in the list and comes out of stock.
Services work the same way. Tap Add Service and search with Search services…
To take a part off the job, tap it and confirm Remove. The stock goes back. A part that is already on an invoice says On an invoice - cannot remove. Ask the office to cancel the invoice first.
Add photos
Tap Add Photo in the Photos section
A sheet opens.
Pick the photo type
Choose Before, During or After.
Add a caption if it helps
The Caption (optional) box is free text.
Tap Camera or Gallery
Camera takes a new photo. Gallery picks one you already have.
Photos carry the place they were taken, so the office can see where you were.
Some companies will not let you file the completion sheet until you have added enough photos. If so, you get a dialog saying Work photos required with the number still needed.
Record money the customer paid
In Payments collected, tap New payment. Enter the amount and how they paid.
If the customer still owes money from earlier jobs, a Collect dues button appears as well. Use it to take that older money on this visit.
Everything you record here waits for the office to approve it. See Collect a payment for what happens next.
File the completion sheet
The completion sheet is the printed record of the visit. The customer signs it.
Tap Create Completion Sheet in the Jobsheet section
The Job Completion Sheet screen opens. If a dialog says Work photos required, tap Add photos and come back.
Fill in the service order details
Service Order No. (optional) can stay blank — leave it and the number fills itself in. Fill the Happy Code if your company uses one.
Confirm the product
Pick the customer's machine, or tap Enter machine details manually. Mark it In Warranty or Out of Warranty. Scan barcode reads the serial number off the machine.
Check the parts and charges
The parts you added are already listed. Add custom entry adds a line by hand. Fill in any installation, service or transport charges.
Write your remarks
Fill Issue Observed and Resolution / Work Done. Then sign: tap Use saved signature, or Draw instead to sign in the box.
Get the customer to sign
In Customer Sign-off, type the Customer name and hand the phone over for the Customer signature.
Tap Preview, then Create & Share
Preview shows the sheet as the customer will see it. Create & Share files it. Your phone may ask for your fingerprint or face first.
A dialog then says Your portion is complete. Your part is done. The office has to approve it before it counts towards your pay.
Save your signature once under More → My Signatures. Then tap Use saved signature on every sheet instead of drawing it again.
Move the job to the next stage
Find the Work status section. It shows the stage the job is in now, with a Change pill on the right. Tap Change and pick the next stage from the sheet.
Some stages have a padlock. That means paperwork is missing. The hint under the tile tells you which:
- Create the jobsheet to move this job to … — file the completion sheet first.
- Raise an invoice for the chargeable parts to move this job to … — raise the invoice first.
Tap the hint and the app scrolls to the section that fixes it.
If the section says No work statuses are available for your role, your office has not given your role a stage to move to. Ask them.
Send the job back to the office
Some jobs carry a Submit for Review button near the top. Tap it when you have finished everything. If the office sends it back, a Revision Needed banner appears with their reason, and the button changes to Resubmit for Review. Fix what they asked for and tap it again.
